In addition to the Provider and Renewal courses, AMR San Diego also offers Instructor courses for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider.

In order to take either Instructor course, the student must have a current ACLS or BLS Provider card.

Once the student has completed the Instructor course, he/she must arrange to be monitored by an AMR Training Center faculty member. Monitoring includes the instructor candidate assisting the faculty member in teaching a BLS class at AMR. The instructor candidate must be monitored within 90 days of taking the Instructor course. Once the instructor candidate has been monitored and received a positive assessment from the faculty member, the Instructor card will be mailed within 30 days.

AMR does not charge a separate fee for the course materials for either Instructor Course.
