Pediatric Education for the Pre-hospital Professional (PEPP) Course
In order to improve the skills and knowledge of both healthcare and prehospital professionals, AMR San Diego is proud to offer a combined Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) & Pediatric Education for the Pre-hospital Professional (PEPP) Course.
PALS Provider course is designed for healthcare professional who initiate and direct advanced life support beyond basic life support through the stabilization or transport phases of a pediatric emergency, either in or out of a hospital. In this course, students will enhance their skills in the evaluation and management of an infant or child with respiratory compromise, circulatory compromise or cardiac arrest.
PEPP represents a comprehensive source of prehospital medical information for the emergent care of infants and children. Developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, PEPP is an exciting curriculum designed specifically to teach prehospital professionals how to better assess and manage ill or injured children.
Textbooks for this class are required. Students have the option of obtaining their own textbooks OR purchasing them with the course. If the student chooses to purchase the textbooks through AMR, he/she will receive:
- PEPP Student Manual (Second Edition)
- PALS Course Guide
- PALS Provider Manual

2010 PALS PEPP Registration Form
Upon successful completion of the course, each student will receive a two year American Heart Association PALS Provider Card in addition to a two year American Academy of Pediatrics PEPP Provider card.
